Reflections of the Sun

by Cheryl Marren

Cheryl Marren

There’s a pattern forming where the sun streams in through the window blind. Studied until it burns into my mind, my heart rehearses its light and shade forming the shape of your smile. You’re all I see. The setting sun shifts the pattern leaving me restless in search of the same smile. Night leaves me breathless as the image breathes into my dreams. It’s all I see.

About The Author

After the three years she spent studying for a double major, (Drama and English) her flourishing interest in literature received an eclectic boost. Before long, she realized that her acting skills, (as she often jokes) were “non-existent.” But for now, she is a wife and mother with an avid interest in antiques, history, (of all countries) and a burning desire to learn about pretty much anything that comes her way. She wishes for more time to write (and read) but manages to snatch a few moments here and there as an interesting addition to the exciting challenges facing her as a new parent.
