Erick Carson
Graphic Artist
A debilitating battle with seizures disabled Erick Carson years ago. He tried to fight the label and went back to work but couldn’t. So he stopped working. When anti-depressants and other drugs prescribed by his doctors served only to increase his depression and kept him unmotivated, he stopped taking them. Suddenly his world had changed. He now had more energy and wanted to create.
Though he had taken art in high school, he wasn’t serious about it. But, a year ago, armed with a #2 pencil and some computer paper, Erick began to draw. He wasn’t bad at all. With the help of friends, he uploaded his work onto MySpace and the rest is history.
Today, several of his graphite drawings are in exhibition, and he’s sold many of his watercolors. Galleries continue to express an interest in showing his art.
Canadians can see Erick’s work @ Paula’s Gallery 4783 Wayndotte St. E Windsor, Ontario N8Y 1 H8 Phone: 1-510-944-1233
Gayle Renee
Graphic Arist
You can almost feel, smell, hear, or maybe even taste the hues; every tone is a feeling of exhilaration that involves all senses. Unexplainably you now feel emotionally vested in what's in front of you. You are captive; the colors on the canvas have become more than just pigment, they are now an extension of the artist. You feel her warmth radiating from the finished piece. You have looked into the heart of the color. You've just finished viewing G'Renee's manipulation of color into art. Art that exudes more than confidence, art that is second nature to breathing, art that invites you to have a party, open a bottle of good wine and share it with some friends.
