alors, et toi?

Choice When the darkness weds the soul, The deepening chasms of despair Rejoice and open wide To show a glimpse Of what dwells inside. Past the deceptive lips of liberty, Across the soft moistness of past joys, Down a path slippery with tears, Fall deeper and lose consciousness Of all that was life. Fall completely and awake To all that is lost. Reason I asked, Love may blight your life, cause the light to fade, and the days to darken. A moment’s joy, a lifetime of pain. Why do you stay where only sorrows reside? He replied, Because I love.

About The Author

Rabab Khan is a secondary school English teacher in Pakistan. She began writing at some unknown time and has not been very prolific. Her words, or poetry as some would call them, are just reflections on her own and others' lives and experiences. She has learnt from them, been enriched by them and even saved by them. She hopes she may do the same for someone else.
