Paul Payne

Painter/ Oil on Canvas Artist

For some artists, identifying their true calling isn't always easy, their creative drive may surface much later. Take Paul Payne for instance, he traveled many paths before realizing his burning passion. At one point in his life, he sought to find this path by building robots;therefore he earned a degree in Mechanical engineering.

He spent several summers working in construction, and a desire for acceptance led him toward a missionary path for a period of time, until he eventually found his true calling in the arts. By his own admission, a fascination with “the human figure,” has lead him on the road he’s on now, skillfully capturing “the interplay of form and color,” on the canvas while creating for his audiences “the illusion of depth." You can enjoy more of Paul Payne's work by visiting his website or his MySpace
